Manual Cam Chain Tensioners: Manual cam chain tensioners are designed to replace the automatic and hydraulic tensioners on high performance engines. The automatic adjusters can back out when the throttle is closed suddenly at high rpm. This allows the cams to go momentarely out of time, and can result in bent valves and/or serious engine damage. Hydraulic tensioners have a tendency to put too much tension on the chain guide under high rpm/high oil pressure conditions, resulting in premature wear.
Bored Throttle Bodies: Spears Racing’s Preparation of the High Flow Throttle Bodies is a multi-step process that includes: boring custom fit CAD designed throttle blades, reducing shaft profile (If needed), installing button head screws, milling topside and tumble polishing. By increasing air flow up to as much as 15%. Our throttle bodies improve low-end and mid-range power. This increase is immediately noticeable to the Racer and Rider.
