296.0 cc piston rings: Piston Rings form the critical seal between the piston and the cylinder wall. A delicate balance exists between proper sealing for maximum power and minimum blow by, and the correct amount of pressure on the cylinder wall to minimize drag which can lead to power loss and excess wear. Additionally the rings help to carry oil up and down the cylinder wall. Fresh rings are a key component when building a high performance engine. Top ring is 0.8mm thick alloy steel, ferrox coated, and chrome faced.
2nd ring is 0.8mm nodular iron, phosphate coated and taper faced.
Oil ring is 1.5mm thick and a 3 piece assembly – stainless steel flex vent spacer, with chrome faced rails.
Proper end gaps may need to be set before installation.
